Amanda Brugel

(February 27 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in the part of Montreal called"the West Island. This part of the island known as West Island can be confusing to those unfamiliar to its significance. Many people believe that it's an island located that lies west of Montreal However, it's actually the West Island encompasses everything between the two cities in Lachine as well as West. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is often called her birthplace. It is true that she resided there for a very short time. Brugel grew to be an aspiring young lady living in Courtice Ontario, outside Oshawa. She wanted to become a professional dancer, but because of a huge expansion, she surpassed all of her dancing partners. The article she wrote about her experience revealed written by The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. When I outgrew my male partners I stopped. There are many dancers who make the move into acting. As for the Brugel family, it was their drama instructor who pushed her into this path. The teacher who suggested she pursue a role for the school's annual production. After a few auditions, she ended up as the main character for Anne of Green Gables. A Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she was a theatre student and earned an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts in 2000. Over the last 20 years, Brugel's work has been seen on both the large and small screen. She gained the most recognition when she landed her part as Rita on the award-winning TV show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character Rita in The Handmaid's Tale, a series that was filming over 10 years ago.
