Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most famous role is Skyler White in her role on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 in the category of Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting when she was in the Preparatory School. The late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. The theatre studies she pursued took place through Northwestern University. A semester was taken at the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in Chicago's theatre for many years prior to taking on film and television role. In 1992, Anna landed her first big role as Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. She continued to appear as an actor in handful of TV shows and films including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue up to the end of 90's when she appeared in a regular role as Jean Ward in The Practice. In 2000, she was given the role of Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully was also one of her roles. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn participated in an audio-play show known as "Numbered days". Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's marriage to Skyler. Walter White's life story and the strain on the marriage he shares with Skyler is mirrored in the television show.
